Anita Keizers studied Semitic Languages and Cultures (MA in 1988), and worked as librarian and teacher of Arabic at the Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo from 1989 until 2011. Head librarian of the NINO library from 2012, she is Subject Librarian Assyriology and Archaeology of the Ancient Near East since 2018, when the NINO library was integrated into Leiden University Libraries.
